Hypnosis is a state of relaxed focus that causes us to enter into a trance. When we enter a state of trust we relax. When we then focus on information coming into our brains we are able to  learn and grow. This happens in our everyday lives when we become absorbed in a book or movie. The journey of the people or animals in the stories remind us of our our journeys and we consider our choices and spiritual and emotional selves. Self-hypnosis occurs naturally when driving a familiar route. Our brainwaves are close to the sleeping state yet we are still awake. In this magical zone we are open. Positive suggestions can be more easily absorbed into our consciousness. Solutions to problems have the chance to emerge.

Most of the time we are so busy with our routine that we need to use tried and tested solutions for running our lives. We live in the tip of the ice-berg of our potential. Over time our habits may become ingrained. They don't necessarily work the best for us.  Hypnosis sessions are the gifts we give ourselves to make the space in that busy schedule for the change we need. A hypnotist guides us to the power deeper in our icebergs, through beautiful visualizations on our own journeys of release and inner change. Very quickly we find new ways to optimize and improve health, creativity, wealth and vitality. Everything is clear. Anything is possible.

One common concern is that a person will not be able to achieve hypnosis. It may take time to learn to let go, but with good motivation for change everyone can learn to relax and enjoy hypnosis. It is a right of life to breathe and relax. The hypnotist has many tools at their disposable to encourage and support you in achieving a peaceful trance.

Another concern is that the hypnotist will create change or behavior that is unwanted by the participant. This partly stems from negative images in the media of hypnotism as an evil form of mind-control, partly from a confusion of hypnosis as entertainment as opposed to hypnosis as a form of therapy. Although hypnosis deeply relaxed the conscious mind, a small critical factor remains on the alert. Any suggestions made to a person in trance will only be incorporated into their lives if they are fully comfortable with that change. During stage hypnosis participants are primed to only participate if they are fully comfortable with being part of the show. Suggestions to bark like a dog or cluck like a chicken do not generally exist in a therapeutic setting!

What does exist in a therapeutic hypnosis session is a real form of magic. The human potential is unleashed. Clarity emerges and people feel filled with strength of purpose and receive the tools they need for lasting change. It's an exciting world to explore in the subconscious and I look forward to exploring it with you!
